WHINDanger

Is an international non-profit, volunteer-based project focused on the World Heritage Sites listed by the UNESCO, particularly those currently on the endangered list. 

 

As the Libyan partner of the project, Scene aims to raise local and international awareness about the history and importance of the Libyan heritage sites and emphasise the role of the community in protecting them.

The five World Heritage Sites in Libya sites are:

Leptis Magna; Sabratha; Cyrene; Acacus; Ghadames.

 

The project is centered around volunteership by engaging youth and the public in contributing to updating or adding Wikipedia articles about the sites, sharing photos for documentation, and conducting interviews with specialists.

Includes volunteers from around the world, WHINDanger contributes to strengthening the communication of Libyan youth with their peers abroad, and highlights the rich cultures and histories of Libya. ​​
